During the production of the Emirati feature film MOUNTAIN BOY, DOP Denson Baker ACS NZCS was using the Panther Foxy Pro crane to capture the great scenery.
“We took the Foxy crane to remote locations in the breathtaking mountains of Fujairah. Our talented Key Grip, Sulaman Ashraf, determined that for the desired heights, we didn't need a remote head or an additional technician. This decision saved us a significant portion of our equipment budget, allowing us additional crane rental days and maximise the production value on screen. Independent features like Mountain Boy greatly benefit from such optimisations.”
The Foxy Pro crane concept is particularly user-friendly and makes set up straightforward, in both, remote or ride on configuration. And Denson is enthusiastic about its versatility: “Personally, I love "riding on" the crane because it adds a unique fluidity and connection to my shots, especially when using longer lenses.
