S-Type

S-Type Dolly

Make the impossible possible.

Some things change with time. Some more, others less.
And some in such a manner that time and standards are changing, too.
Discover the fascination of progress in a dolly with a great future.

The Panther S-Type Dolly combines the advantages of different dolly concepts: the scissors-arm and the center-column. Additionally with regard to functionality and performance – the S-Type Dolly beats both systems:

Durable drive unit
Scissors-Arm with 100% linear motion
Precision gear with 4 steering modes

DRIVE UNIT

Proven over decades.

The S-Type Dolly is powered by an electro-mechanical drive system and is thus the world‘s first of its kind.

This has many advantages in contrast to other products which exclusively work with hydraulic such for example no dripping oil, no pumps, many movements without charging, programming and limit functions and much more.

POWER

New designed Slide-In Batteries.

In order to realize a compact and lightweight dolly design, we developed new Slide-In batteries (302577) for the S-Type. These are quickly and easily pushed into the side of the dolly and flow smoothly into it. A carrying handle facilitates handling and transport.

COMBI-WHEELS

Reinvented.

H-Pneumatic Wheel
(138802)
H-Studio Wheel hard
(310289)
H-Studio Wheel soft
(310615)

We have reinvented and improved the Combi-Wheels. In addition to a new design, the brake has been revised, so now when you use the „BRAKE lever“ it will brake the studio- or air wheels simultaneously with the track wheels.

SCISSORS-ARM

Detachable, 100% linear and maximum stability.

During the development of the arm our engineers gave everything! The S-Type scissors-arm makes a 100% linear movement. Low energy expenditure and maximum stability are ensured by the compact double-arm design.

Weight distribution
Arm = 40% | Dolly = 60%

DETACHABLE

To simplify the transport massively, the scissors-arm element of the Panther S-Type is detachable. It can be quickly and easily separated 100% from the body. Extra developed carrying bars (310120) enable an easy removal.

TRANSPORT

The slim design of the S-Type makes space-saving transport easy to realize. Therefore you can transport the dolly if your space is limited – even upside down.
The integrated carrying handles can be extended by the Carrying Grips (302783).

SCISSORS-ARM

Make the impossible possible.

In order to use the full length of the scissors-arm, we developed the patented fullrange technology. This allows the scissors-arm to move the same way up as down into the negative. An additional high-low rig is no longer needed.

ZERO MODE
lift-range: 73 cm /28,7”

OPERATION

New Wireless Handset for a great user experience..

A new Wireless Handset (302788) is included in the standard package of the S-Type dolly. You can use it wireless and via cable. Charging is also done via cable usage. Get in touch with a great new user experience and discover important information and functions for the dolly:

Arm Level (Zero, Low or Super-Low)
height control in %
battery check of dolly and handset

charging via handset cable connection to the dolly
fine adjustable speed control
Limit aund Program

100% waterproof design up to 0,5 m / 20”

parking position for Wireless Handset right in front of the dolly operator

many information and operation possibilities for example: speed adjustment, arm level, programming, set limits etc.

4 STEERING MODES

Easy to use in every situation.

To give maximum flexibility to the operator, the Panther S-Type is equipped with 4 different steering modes:
The wheels of the S-Type are arranged square. This has the advantage that the dolly can be moved both lengthwise and crosswise to the track – without using other wheels or accessories.

PLATFORMS

New designed Flip-Flop Platforms.

We also did our best for the platform design! You only need one single set (consisting of 3 parts) for the whole dolly. Whether high or low platform: the S-Type flipflop platforms (302583) cover every position and remain extremely stable.

ONLY ONE SET NECESSARY

HOW CAN I USE THEM?

S-Type with side platform left or/and right

S-Type with front platform and side platform left or/and right

S-Type with front platform

S-Type with all mounted platforms

HIGH PLATTFORM

More flexibility for the cameraman.

In addition, there is a adjustable high platform (310810) available. It allows the cameraman to stand on a higher level.

FOLDABLE PUSH BAR

More flexibility for the grip.

In order to facilitate the work of the dolly grip, we have developed an additional push bar (310342). It is extendable and foldable and can be plugged in and used around the dolly.

MORE FEATURES

The goal was to make it perfect.

You only need one integrated tool to operate the whole dolly

Detachable steering rod

Integrated carrying handle

Carrying Grip (302783) extentions for carrying handles available

Easy way to transport the S-Type Dolly

Center Mount (302359): to be combined with Cranes, Jibs, Mitchell Mounts and other accessories. (By the way: works also great with other dollies)

Center Plate (310789) to be used as platform dolly.

Many Internet sites and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier of the cookie. It consists of a character string through which Internet pages and servers can be assigned to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This allows visited Internet sites and servers to differentiate the individual browser of the dats subject from other Internet browsers that contain other cookies. A specific Internet browser can be recognized and identified using the unique cookie ID.

Through the use of cookies, the Panther GmbH can provide the users of this website with more user-friendly services that would not be possible without the cookie setting.

By means of a cookie, the information and offers on our website can be optimized with the user in mind. Cookies allow us, as previously mentioned, to recognize our website users. 4. Collection of general data and information

The website of the Panther GmbH collects a series of general data and information when a data subject or automated system calls up the website. This general data and information are stored in the server log files. Collected may be (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrers), (4) the sub-websites, (5) the date and time of access to the Internet site, (6) an Internet protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and (8) any other similar data and information that may be used in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.

When using these general data and information, the Panther GmbH does not draw any conclusions about the data subject. Rather, this information is needed to (1) deliver the content of our website correctly, (2) optimize the content of our website as well as its advertisement, (3) ensure the long-term viability of our information technology systems and website technology, and (4) provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution in case of a cyber-attack. Therefore, the Panther GmbH analyzes anonymously collected data and information statistically, with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security of our enterprise, and to ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data we process. The anonymous data of the server log files are stored separately from all personal data provided by a data subject.

5. Subscription to our newsletters

On the website of the Panther GmbH, users are given the opportunity to subscribe to our enterprise’s newsletter. The input mask used for this purpose determines what personal data are transmitted, as well as when the newsletter is ordered from the controller.

The Panther GmbH informs its customers and business partners regularly by means of a newsletter about enterprise offers. The enterprise’s newsletter may only be received by the data subject if (1) the data subject has a valid e-mail address and (2) the data subject registers for the newsletter shipping. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address registered by a data subject for the first time for newsletter shipping, for legal reasons, in the double opt-in procedure. This confirmation e-mail is used to prove whether the owner of the e-mail address as the data subject is authorized to receive the newsletter.

During the registration for the newsletter, we also store the IP address of the computer system assigned by the Internet service provider (ISP) and used by the data subject at the time of the registration, as well as the date and time of the registration. The collection of this data is necessary in order to understand the (possible) misuse of the e-mail address of a data subject at a later date, and it therefore serves the aim of the legal protection of the controller.

The personal data collected as part of a registration for the newsletter will only be used to send our newsletter. In addition, subscribers to the newsletter may be informed by e-mail, as long as this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or a registration in question, as this could be the case in the event of modifications to the newsletter offer, or in the event of a change in technical circumstances. There will be no transfer of personal data collected by the newsletter service to third parties. The subscription to our newsletter may be terminated by the data subject at any time. The consent to the storage of personal data, which the data subject has given for shipping the newsletter, may be revoked at any time. For the purpose of revocation of consent, a corresponding link is found in each newsletter. It is also possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time directly on the website of the controller, or to communicate this to the controller in a different way.

6. Newsletter-Tracking

The newsletter of the Panther GmbH contains so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic embedded in such e-mails, which are sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and analysis. This allows a statistical analysis of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, the Panther GmbH may see if and when an e-mail was opened by a data subject, and which links in the e-mail were called up by data subjects.

Such personal data collected in the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters are stored and analyzed by the controller in order to optimize the shipping of the newsletter, as well as to adapt the content of future newsletters even better to the interests of the data subject. These personal data will not be passed on to third parties. Data subjects are at any time entitled to revoke the respective separate declaration of consent issued by means of the double-opt-in procedure. After a revocation, these personal data will be deleted by the controller. The Panther GmbH automatically regards a withdrawal from the receipt of the newsletter as a revocation.

7. Contact possibility via the website

The website of the Panther GmbH contains information that enables a quick electronic contact to our enterprise, as well as direct communication with us, which also includes a general address of the so-called electronic mail (e-mail address). If a data subject contacts the controller by e-mail or via a contact form, the personal data transmitted by the data subject are automatically stored. Such personal data transmitted on a voluntary basis by a data subject to the data controller are stored for the purpose of processing or contacting the data subject. There is no transfer of this personal data to third parties.

8. Subscription to comments in the blog on the website

The comments made in the blog of the Panther GmbH may be subscribed to by third parties. In particular, there is the possibility that a commenter subscribes to the comments following his comments on a particular blog post.

If a data subject decides to subscribe to the option, the controller will send an automatic confirmation e-mail to check the double opt-in procedure as to whether the owner of the specified e-mail address decided in favor of this option. The option to subscribe to comments may be terminated at any time.

9. Routine erasure and blocking of personal data

The data controller shall process and store the personal data of the data subject only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage, or as far as this is granted by the European legislator or other legislators in laws or regulations to which the controller is subject to.

If the storage purpose is not applicable, or if a storage period prescribed by the European legislator or another competent legislator expires, the personal data are routinely blocked or erased in accordance with legal requirements.

10. Rights of the data subject

  • a) Right of confirmation

Each data subject shall have the right granted by the European legislator to obtain from the controller the confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed. If a data subject wishes to avail himself of this right of confirmation, he or she may, at any time, contact any employee of the controller.

  • b) Right of access

Each data subject shall have the right granted by the European legislator to obtain from the controller free information about his or her personal data stored at any time and a copy of this information. Furthermore, the European directives and regulations grant the data subject access to the following information:

    • the purposes of the processing;
    • the categories of personal data concerned;
    • the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, in particular recipients in third countries or international organisations;
    • where possible, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored, or, if not possible, the criteria used to determine that period;
    • the existence of the right to request from the controller rectification or erasure of personal data, or restriction of processing of personal data concerning the data subject, or to object to such processing;

11. Data protection provisions about the application and use of Facebook

On this website, the controller has integrated components of the enterprise Facebook. Facebook is a social network.

A social network is a place for social meetings on the Internet, an online community, which usually allows users to communicate with each other and interact in a virtual space. A social network may serve as a platform for the exchange of opinions and experiences, or enable the Internet community to provide personal or business-related information. Facebook allows social network users to include the creation of private profiles, upload photos, and network through friend requests.

The operating company of Facebook is Facebook, Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, United States. If a person lives outside of the United States or Canada, the controller is the Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

With each call-up to one of the individual pages of this Internet website, which is operated by the controller and into which a Facebook component (Facebook plug-ins) was integrated, the web browser on the information technology system of the data subject is automatically prompted to download display of the corresponding Facebook component from Facebook through the Facebook component. An overview of all the Facebook Plug-ins may be accessed under https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. During the course of this technical procedure, Facebook is made aware of what specific sub-site of our website was visited by the data subject.

If the data subject is logged in at the same time on Facebook, Facebook detects with every call-up to our website by the data subject—and for the entire duration of their stay on our Internet site—which specific sub-site of our Internet page was visited by the data subject. This information is collected through the Facebook component and associated with the respective Facebook account of the data subject. If the data subject clicks on one of the Facebook buttons integrated into our website, e.g. the “Like” button, or if the data subject submits a comment, then Facebook matches this information with the personal Facebook user account of the data subject and stores the personal data.

Facebook always receives, through the Facebook component, information about a visit to our website by the data subject, whenever the data subject is logged in at the same time on Facebook during the time of the call-up to our website. This occurs regardless of whether the data subject clicks on the Facebook component or not. If such a transmission of information to Facebook is not desirable for the data subject, then he or she may prevent this by logging off from their Facebook account before a call-up to our website is made.

The data protection guideline published by Facebook, which is available at https://facebook.com/about/privacy/, provides information about the collection, processing and use of personal data by Facebook. In addition, it is explained there what setting options Facebook offers to protect the privacy of the data subject. In addition, different configuration options are made available to allow the elimination of data transmission to Facebook. These applications may be used by the data subject to eliminate a data transmission to Facebook.

12. Data protection provisions about the application and use of Google AdSense

On this website, the controller has integrated Google AdSense. Google AdSense is an online service which allows the placement of advertising on third-party sites. Google AdSense is based on an algorithm that selects advertisements displayed on third-party sites to match with the content of the respective third-party site. Google AdSense allows an interest-based targeting of the Internet user, which is implemented by means of generating individual user profiles.

The operating company of Google’s AdSense component is Alphabet Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, United States.

The purpose of Google’s AdSense component is the integration of advertisements on our website. Google AdSense places a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. The definition of cookies is explained above. With the setting of the cookie, Alphabet Inc. is enabled to analyze the use of our website. With each call-up to one of the individual pages of this Internet site, which is operated by the controller and into which a Google AdSense component is integrated, the Internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject will automatically submit data through the Google AdSense component for the purpose of online advertising and the settlement of commissions to Alphabet Inc. During the course of this technical procedure, the enterprise Alphabet Inc. gains knowledge of personal data, such as the IP address of the data subject, which serves Alphabet Inc., inter alia, to understand the origin of visitors and clicks and subsequently create commission settlements.

The data subject may, as stated above, prevent the setting of cookies through our website at any time by means of a corresponding adjustment of the web browser used and thus permanently deny the setting of cookies. Such an adjustment to the Internet browser used would also prevent Alphabet Inc. from setting a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. Additionally, cookies already in use by Alphabet Inc. may be deleted at any time via a web browser or other software programs.

Furthermore, Google AdSense also uses so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is embedded in web pages to enable a log file recording and a log file analysis through which a statistical analysis may be performed. Based on the embedded tracking pixels, Alphabet Inc. is able to determine if and when a website was opened by a data subject, and which links were clicked on by the data subject. Tracking pixels serve, inter alia, to analyze the flow of visitors on a website.

Through Google AdSense, personal data and information—which also includes the IP address, and is necessary for the collection and accounting of the displayed advertisements—is transmitted to Alphabet Inc. in the United States of America. These personal data will be stored and processed in the United States of America. The Alphabet Inc. may disclose the collected personal data through this technical procedure to third parties.

Google AdSense is further explained under the following link https://www.google.com/intl/en/adsense/start/.

13. Data protection provisions about the application and use of Google Analytics (with anonymization function)

On this website, the controller has integrated the component of Google Analytics (with the anonymizer function). Google Analytics is a web analytics service. Web analytics is the collection, gathering, and analysis of data about the behavior of visitors to websites. A web analysis service collects, inter alia, data about the website from which a person has come (the so-called referrer), which sub-pages were visited, or how often and for what duration a sub-page was viewed. Web analytics are mainly used for the optimization of a website and in order to carry out a cost-benefit analysis of Internet advertising.

The operator of the Google Analytics component is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, United States.

For the web analytics through Google Analytics the controller uses the application “_gat. _anonymizeIp”. By means of this application the IP address of the Internet connection of the data subject is abridged by Google and anonymised when accessing our websites from a Member State of the European Union or another Contracting State to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

The purpose of the Google Analytics component is to analyze the traffic on our website. Google uses the collected data and information, inter alia, to evaluate the use of our website and to provide online reports, which show the activities on our websites, and to provide other services concerning the use of our Internet site for us.

Google Analytics places a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. The definition of cookies is explained above. With the setting of the cookie, Google is enabled to analyze the use of our website. With each call-up to one of the individual pages of this Internet site, which is operated by the controller and into which a Google Analytics component was integrated, the Internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject will automatically submit data through the Google Analytics component for the purpose of online advertising and the settlement of commissions to Google. During the course of this technical procedure, the enterprise Google gains knowledge of personal information, such as the IP address of the data subject, which serves Google, inter alia, to understand the origin of visitors and clicks, and subsequently create commission settlements.

The cookie is used to store personal information, such as the access time, the location from which the access was made, and the frequency of visits of our website by the data subject. With each visit to our Internet site, such personal data, including the IP address of the Internet access used by the data subject, will be transmitted to Google in the United States of America. These personal data are stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may pass these personal data collected through the technical procedure to third parties.

The data subject may, as stated above, prevent the setting of cookies through our website at any time by means of a corresponding adjustment of the web browser used and thus permanently deny the setting of cookies. Such an adjustment to the Internet browser used would also prevent Google Analytics from setting a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. In addition, cookies already in use by Google Analytics may be deleted at any time via a web browser or other software programs.

In addition, the data subject has the possibility of objecting to a collection of data that are generated by Google Analytics, which is related to the use of this website, as well as the processing of this data by Google and the chance to preclude any such. For this purpose, the data subject must download a browser add-on under the link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and install it. This browser add-on tells Google Analytics through a JavaScript, that any data and information about the visits of Internet pages may not be transmitted to Google Analytics. The installation of the browser add-ons is considered an objection by Google. If the information technology system of the data subject is later deleted, formatted, or newly installed, then the data subject must reinstall the browser add-ons to disable Google Analytics. If the browser add-on was uninstalled by the data subject or any other person who is attributable to their sphere of competence, or is disabled, it is possible to execute the reinstallation or reactivation of the browser add-ons.

Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of Google may be retrieved under https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/ and under http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html. Google Analytics is further explained under the following Link https://www.google.com/analytics/.

14. Data protection provisions about the application and use of Google+

On this website, the controller has integrated the Google+ button as a component. Google+ is a so-called social network. A social network is a social meeting place on the Internet, an online community, which usually allows users to communicate with each other and interact in a virtual space. A social network may serve as a platform for the exchange of opinions and experiences, or enable the Internet community to provide personal or business-related information. Google+ allows users of the social network to include the creation of private profiles, upload photos and network through friend requests.

The operating company of Google+ is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, UNITED STATES.

With each call-up to one of the individual pages of this website, which is operated by the controller and on which a Google+ button has been integrated, the Internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject automatically downloads a display of the corresponding Google+ button of Google through the respective Google+ button component. During the course of this technical procedure, Google is made aware of what specific sub-page of our website was visited by the data subject. More detailed information about Google+ is available under https://developers.google.com/+/.

If the data subject is logged in at the same time to Google+, Google recognizes with each call-up to our website by the data subject and for the entire duration of his or her stay on our Internet site, which specific sub-pages of our Internet page were visited by the data subject. This information is collected through the Google+ button and Google matches this with the respective Google+ account associated with the data subject.

If the data subject clicks on the Google+ button integrated on our website and thus gives a Google+ 1 recommendation, then Google assigns this information to the personal Google+ user account of the data subject and stores the personal data. Google stores the Google+ 1 recommendation of the data subject, making it publicly available in accordance with the terms and conditions accepted by the data subject in this regard. Subsequently, a Google+ 1 recommendation given by the data subject on this website together with other personal data, such as the Google+ account name used by the data subject and the stored photo, is stored and processed on other Google services, such as search-engine results of the Google search engine, the Google account of the data subject or in other places, e.g. on Internet pages, or in relation to advertisements. Google is also able to link the visit to this website with other personal data stored on Google. Google further records this personal information with the purpose of improving or optimizing the various Google services.

Through the Google+ button, Google receives information that the data subject visited our website, if the data subject at the time of the call-up to our website is logged in to Google+. This occurs regardless of whether the data subject clicks or doesn’t click on the Google+ button.

If the data subject does not wish to transmit personal data to Google, he or she may prevent such transmission by logging out of his Google+ account before calling up our website.

Further information and the data protection provisions of Google may be retrieved under https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. More references from Google about the Google+ 1 button may be obtained under https://developers.google.com/+/web/buttons-policy.

15. Data protection provisions about the application and use of Google-AdWords

On this website, the controller has integrated Google AdWords. Google AdWords is a service for Internet advertising that allows the advertiser to place ads in Google search engine results and the Google advertising network. Google AdWords allows an advertiser to pre-define specific keywords with the help of which an ad on Google’s search results only then displayed, when the user utilizes the search engine to retrieve a keyword-relevant search result. In the Google Advertising Network, the ads are distributed on relevant web pages using an automatic algorithm, taking into account the previously defined keywords.

The operating company of Google AdWords is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, UNITED STATES.

The purpose of Google AdWords is the promotion of our website by the inclusion of relevant advertising on the websites of third parties and in the search engine results of the search engine Google and an insertion of third-party advertising on our website.

If a data subject reaches our website via a Google ad, a conversion cookie is filed on the information technology system of the data subject through Google. The definition of cookies is explained above. A conversion cookie loses its validity after 30 days and is not used to identify the data subject. If the cookie has not expired, the conversion cookie is used to check whether certain sub-pages, e.g, the shopping cart from an online shop system, were called up on our website. Through the conversion cookie, both Google and the controller can understand whether a person who reached an AdWords ad on our website generated sales, that is, executed or canceled a sale of goods.

The data and information collected through the use of the conversion cookie is used by Google to create visit statistics for our website. These visit statistics are used in order to determine the total number of users who have been served through AdWords ads to ascertain the success or failure of each AdWords ad and to optimize our AdWords ads in the future. Neither our company nor other Google AdWords advertisers receive information from Google that could identify the data subject.

The conversion cookie stores personal information, e.g. the Internet pages visited by the data subject. Each time we visit our Internet pages, personal data, including the IP address of the Internet access used by the data subject, is transmitted to Google in the United States of America. These personal data are stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may pass these personal data collected through the technical procedure to third parties.

The data subject may, at any time, prevent the setting of cookies by our website, as stated above, by means of a corresponding setting of the Internet browser used and thus permanently deny the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent Google from placing a conversion cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. In addition, a cookie set by Google AdWords may be deleted at any time via the Internet browser or other software programs.

The data subject has a possibility of objecting to the interest based advertisement of Google. Therefore, the data subject must access from each of the browsers in use the link www.google.de/settings/ads and set the desired settings.

Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of Google may be retrieved under https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/.

During the course of this technical procedure, Instagram becomes aware of what specific sub-page of our website was visited by the data subject.

If the data subject is logged in at the same time on Instagram, Instagram detects with every call-up to our website by the data subject—and for the entire duration of their stay on our Internet site—which specific sub-page of our Internet page was visited by the data subject. This information is collected through the Instagram component and is associated with the respective Instagram account of the data subject. If the data subject clicks on one of the Instagram buttons integrated on our website, then Instagram matches this information with the personal Instagram user account of the data subject and stores the personal data.

Instagram receives information via the Instagram component that the data subject has visited our website provided that the data subject is logged in at Instagram at the time of the call to our website. This occurs regardless of whether the person clicks on the Instagram button or not. If such a transmission of information to Instagram is not desirable for the data subject, then he or she can prevent this by logging off from their Instagram account before a call-up to our website is made.

Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of Instagram may be retrieved under https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388 and https://www.instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

YouTube’s data protection provisions, available at https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/, provide information about the collection, processing and use of personal data by YouTube and Google.

20. Legal basis for the processing

Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, as is the case, for example, when processing operations are necessary for the supply of goods or to provide any other service, the processing is based on Article 6(1) lit. b GDPR. The same applies to such processing operations which are necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures, for example in the case of inquiries concerning our products or services. Is our company subject to a legal obligation by which processing of personal data is required, such as for the fulfillment of tax obligations, the processing is based on Art. 6(1) lit. c GDPR.
In rare cases, the processing of personal data may be necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person. This would be the case, for example, if a visitor were injured in our company and his name, age, health insurance data or other vital information would have to be passed on to a doctor, hospital or other third party. Then the processing would be based on Art. 6(1) lit. d GDPR.
Finally, processing operations could be based on Article 6(1) lit. f GDPR. This legal basis is used for processing operations which are not covered by any of the abovementioned legal grounds, if processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by our company or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data. Such processing operations are particularly permissible because they have been specifically mentioned by the European legislator. He considered that a legitimate interest could be assumed if the data subject is a client of the controller (Recital 47 Sentence 2 GDPR).

21. The legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party

Where the processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1) lit. f GDPR our legitimate interest is to carry out our business in favor of the well-being of all our employees and the shareholders.

22. Period for which the personal data will be stored

The criteria used to determine the period of storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. After expiration of that period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, as long as it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the contract or the initiation of a contract.

23. Provision of personal data as statutory or contractual requirement; Requirement necessary to enter into a contract; Obligation of the data subject to provide the personal data; possible consequences of failure to provide such data

We clarify that the provision of personal data is partly required by law (e.g. tax regulations) or can also result from contractual provisions (e.g. information on the contractual partner).

Sometimes it may be necessary to conclude a contract that the data subject provides us with personal data, which must subsequently be processed by us. The data subject is, for example, obliged to provide us with personal data when our company signs a contract with him or her. The non-provision of the personal data would have the consequence that the contract with the data subject could not be concluded.

Before personal data is provided by the data subject, the data subject must contact any employee. The employee clarifies to the data subject whether the provision of the personal data is required by law or contract or is necessary for the conclusion of the contract, whether there is an obligation to provide the personal data and the consequences of non-provision of the personal data.

24. Existence of automated decision-making

As a responsible company, we do not use automatic decision-making or profiling.

We are celebrating 35 years of Panther.

What began in a small garage in Munich, quickly became a worldwide known company. Erich Fitz (founder of Panther) realizes in the sixties his childhood dream, which he pursued since the age of eight: to make moving pictures with passion. After some time in the camera assembly at ARRI, to get to know the cameras, he works as a camera assistant and later as a cameraman.

Based upon market requirements globally the first computer-controlled, electro-mechanical camera dolly has been designed. The first prototype was finished in 1982.

An employee compares the smooth, silent, but at the same time powerful movements of the dolly with a Panther – so the new dolly was named PANTHER in 1983.

The 2nd prototype was already used at the set and the complete movie “Never-ending story” (see photo left and bwlow) has been shot with and on this dolly in the Bavaria Studios in Munich.
Quickly the advantages of the Panther in comparison to competing dollies became a topic in the film industry worldwide.
The PANTHER dolly was born.

After this successful usage, Panther became more and more an important name in the film industry. Panther established in further locations arount the globe – 1987 in Hollywood.

1990 Panther takes over the leadership in the European market with regard to turnover, quantities and technology. In the same year, as well, the “Super Panther dolly” was awarded with the technical Oscar (A.M.P.A.S.) in Hollywood. New, innovative products such as the Pegasus crane were successfully introduced to the market.

What then followed was a huge range of innovative and successful products that were becoming popular around the world. Everyone on the set wants to work with a “Panther”.
Today we continue to work very hard on innovations that are supposed to make you setlife easier. In constant contact with Grips from all over the world, we develop products that make your work much more enjoyable.

How will Panther go on after 35 years?

New ideas, new innovations, new headquarter!

We are growing! That’s why our premises became too small and we needed more space for new ideas and innovations. We continue to follow our goal to be market leader in camera support equipment.
To make this possible, we moved into our new building which has been built according to our requirements in order to remain your professional partner on set!

2018 will be an exciting year for us – but mainly for our customers. We have some news – waiting impatient to be introduced piece by piece during this year. It will be really interesting to see, what this year will be rolled out to the film world!

The entire Panther Crew would like to thank all our customers and friends, who have been loyal to us for at least 35 years. We look forward to the next 35 years with you. And wee look forward to bring the next PANTHER to your set!

Panthers precision and the wireless know-how from Cmotion lead to the development of the new wireless handset. It is an option/addition for the new Panther Classic Plus Dolly.

LIMIT AND PROGRAM

During the development it was always a priority for us to take over the proven operation of the standard dolly handset. It is possible to set limits, and easy program movements and repeat them – done with the same operation like the standard handset.

EASY

An easy operation of the wireless handset is given by the integrated software. A clear user interface makes it easy to understand the wireless handset. The menu is simple to use and structured clearly.

DESIGN

The design will excite you: an ergonomic handset which perfectly fits in your hand. The display is slightly inclined towards the operator to reduce glare and reflections. The rocker for manual operation of the dolly is in the middle of the wireless handset. It allows smooth and controlled movements.
Easy replaceable batteries complete the design perfectly.

COMPATIBILITY

We wanted to make a product that is compatible to all our dollies. So besides the design, the software and the functions it was equally as important, to make the wireless handset very compatible.
It will be offered as an option for new Dollies and as an upgrade for existing (also used) Dollies, e.g. Super Panther 3. To do the upgrade, a remote box must be installed in your dolly to connect it with your wireless handset.

Product History

1975

Erich Fitz has established his company for the rental of cinematographic equipment. His customers request a dolly easier in handling than those available on the market, a dolly, which can be used on asphalt as well as on tracks. Thus the light-weight dolly is being designed featuring low weight and the possibility to be disassembled for the purpose of transportation.

1978

For the light-weight dolly a track system is being developed. The main features of the tube tracks are their robustness and easy handling. They are available up to 2.3 m length and as 1/8 curves with a diameter of 6 m. The tracks are compatible to Elemack tracks.

1982

Customers wish to have a dolly, where they can sit beside the camera on a lifting column. The prototype of a column dolly is built. In addition to a comfortable seat on top of the lifting column this dolly gives the cameraman the opportunity to move up and down during shooting. In contrast to a conventional hydraulic system an electro-mechanical drive was chosen. The electrical motor, driving a lifting spindle and a column by means of a V-belt, achieves the goal of a smooth run.

1983

The initial problems of the prototype are removed and the dolly is completely revised until it is ready to go into series. A new column guide has been developed and patented. Here the guide rolls are positioned parallel to the column (not crosswise) thus supporting the column by means of a guide rail. This is the only way how large guide rolls (for stability) can be combined with small column dimensions (compact, light). This is the first dolly called Panther.

1984

The Panther Dolly has been established on the German market. Many cameramen, however, request higher flexibility with regard to the dolly, which leads to the development of the light-weight jib. The light-weight jib features a compact size and enables the cameraman to move also outside the central column. A smart detail: for adjusting the weight compensation a spindle is being used, which varies the distance between counter weights and swivel in a way that the light-weight jib can be “cranked into balance” – easier and time-saving set-up.

1985

Germany’s cameramen feel so comfortable on the Panther dolly, that their assistants wish to “have a ride” together with the cameraman, too. For this purpose the turnstile of the Panther dolly is extended and equipped with a second seat holder. To ensure that the drive can handle this additional load a total of 4 pneumatic springs of 700 N each (before 2 pieces) has been integrated. This modification is convincing and simple at the same time. From now on only the Super Panther Dolly is being demanded.

1986

In order to allow more freedom during dolly tracking, the U-Bangi has been designed. For moving this outrigger which is supported with ball bearings enabling also drives at right angle to the tracks. This innovation is e.g. used for table top shootings.
In the same year a connection kit for the light-weight jib becomes available. A rod or a rope connects the light-weight jib with the dolly and its column. The column lift is directly transferred to the light-weight jib enabling programmed camera drives with the light-weight jib. A nice side effect: the camera lift and its speed are doubled.

1987

The advantages of the light-weight jib connection kit are so evident that it does not take long until a higher payload and more comfort are being requested and the Super Jib is developed. The Super Jib combines all advantages of a computer-controlled Jib-arm drive with the benefits of a mobile platform for the cameraman. From this point 95 % of all Panther dollies ordered are equipped with the Super Jib and dollies already in use are upgraded.

1988

For a better and more practical service of the Panther dollies the drive system is changed from analog to digital technology (digital electronics) – the Super Panther II is born. Apart from easier service works, also the reliability can be increased.

1990

Profound market research and long-term rental experience led to the development of the Pegasus Crane System. With this camera crane the advantages of the camera cranes Tulip and Cine Jib have been combined in one crane system.
A new patent is given for the Pegasus: the crane arm can be extended at two sides with only one extension. This way a larger platform height can be achieved without increasing the number of counter weights.
The Pegasus crane sets new standards with regard to compact size, easy handling, platform height and safety. The Pegasus crane is the first crane world-wide to receive a safety certificate from the TÜV (Association for Technical Inspection).

1991

In order to offer an inexpensive alternative to the Super Panther Dolly the Mini Panther has been developed. This dolly is equipped with the patented column of his big brother and a smaller version of the digital electronic. The motor is smaller and therefore offers no possibility for the cameraman to go along.
Special feature: globally the Mini Panther is the first, separable column dolly. By removing the column the base dolly and the lifting column can be used separately.

1992

To close the gap between light-weight dolly and Mini Panther the Pick-up Panther is constructed. With a compact size he offers a platform, which can be used on tracks as well as on studio floor without any change required. The integrated 2-wheel (steer) and 4-wheel (crab) steering allows for the necessary liberty of action on narrow space. Due to the smart arrangement of the combi wheels the Pick-up Panther can be used for the 62 cm standard track as well as for the narrow track of 49 cm by means of a 90° rotation.

1993

The necessity of fast camera movement leads to the development of the Super Panther III. A new digital electronic as well as the adjustment of the drive system with 48V allows this dolly to run at double lifting speed and a special Super Jib operation increases the operating comfort and sets new standards. Most of the older dollies are being modified and upgraded to this state.

1994

The current market situation shows the requirement of a Super Jib, which can also accommodate two persons on the lifting platform. Additionally many grips state that for some kinds of shootings in studios the Pegasus crane system is too large. Therefore Panther solves both problems by designing the Super Jib II, which can carry two persons in combination with the Super Panther dolly. Its modular system is designed in a way that additional outriggers can be mounted if required – this way the Super Jib II can be used as a platform or remote crane up to 4.5 m height.

1995

The usual track available on the market does not meet Panther’s high requirements for the use of dollies and cranes. Therefore Panther decides to promote and sell the Precision Vario Track. This track is suitable for various gauges, possesses high rigidity (I-beam) and is very versatile (e.g. foldable telescope track). In particular the transition from one track to the next is highly precise and unmatched up to that time.

1996

The U-Bangi is completely redesigned resulting the new U-Bangi II. Its users are impressed by an integrated swivel, higher stability despite lower weight and the necessary silent running.
At the same time also the U-Bangi Lifter is designed, a completely new kind of camera lifting system, which receives a patent right away. The U-Bangi slide is mounted at the lifter. By means of a steel cable the ends of which are fastened at the U-Bangi, the tracks of the U-Bangi are being moved vertically. This way a 100 % vertical camera movement can be achieved (without “banana effect” of jib arms), while simultaneously lifting and speed are doubled.

1997

In order to cover further market requirements Panther purchases the product line of the Swiss company Cinerent Technik AG and starts selling the Cine Jib and the Swiss Jib crane. The Swiss Jib, the first remote crane globally made of carbon fiber reaches the enormous outrigger length of 13 m (42.5ft.) at very low weight due to its material.

1998

Valuable input from cinematographers as well as many years of experience from Panther side result in the development of the Evolution Dolly. In order to realize the variety of ideas a completely new dolly needs to be designed. More than fifty suggestions and improvements are being integrated into the Evolution, such as transport weight reduced to 96 kg (210lbs), crab- and steer-steering, new drive system with safety switch and brushless motor, high speed mode, software-supported operating display, etc.
The Precision Vario Tracks are further improved and introduced to the market as MK II. Special features: sturdy vario sleepers, cured surface, end caps made of steel, self-adjusting turnbuckles, practice-oriented lengths.

1999

With the Foxy Crane System the gap between the Super Jib II System and the Pegasus crane is being closed and a new standard in the area of compact cranes is set. With only 178 kg (392lbs) weight the Foxy can reach a remote height of 7.3 m or a platform height of 4.7 m. The experts in the field, however, are in particular amazed about the crane column (patent pending), the pyramid, which offers space for all crane elements. The complete crane can be transported, set-up and dismantled by one person only.

2000

In the year of the millennium Panther introduces a variety of products to the customers. The range of the Precision Vario Track is expanded by the 3m circle, so that also with little space available circle drives finally become possible. The High-Low Rig for the Evolution and the Super Panther convinces due to increased payload and variable, rotary and height adjustment in high and low position. The first series was quickly sold out during the CINEC exhibition. The operators of the Vario Jib are pleased about the low weight and easy handling. The telescopic arm length of 1m – 1.6m can be increased to 2.6m with an extension. In combination with the Multi Rig the camera mounted can be adjusted in 3 axes.
The product highlight is the completely newly constructed Galaxy Crane. With regard to operating comfort, stability, easy handling and safety this longest remote crane (17.3m/57 ft.) in this compact construction sets a new standard. All outriggers have the same length and have been optimized with regard to practical requirements. Reinforced connection plates can be dismantled without getting jammed. Based upon the same-parts-principle of outrigger, pull rod and anchor plate the set-up becomes easier.

2002

Panther Broadcast is founded and a completely new range of products is launched in the same year. Top of the line glides the Pixy Crane which can be extended from a small jib arm to an 11m crane depending on the customers budget and needs.
Two new compact dollies are introduced: the foldable Husky Dolly which is engineered in such an ingenious way that it can serve as a transport cart for camera cases when folded. The so called Roller Plate is specially developed for news crews so that they don’t have to do without camera moves. The aluminum platform weighs in at a mere 7 kg and comes with all standard mounts. Paired with a second roller plate it can handle cameraman plus tripod.
The Romy light – an on board camera light which has already been most successful worldwide for 10 years – is now manufactured and sold by Panther Broadcast.
New Precision Steel Tracks and the Wall Spreader Spanning System complete the product boost in 2002.

2003

The price policy within the movie branch causes the demand for a fully-fledged, but cost-efficient dolly. So the Panther Classic Dolly is introduced as little brother of the established Evolution Dolly and immediately becomes a bestseller. Delivery times of several months could unfortunately not be avoided during its first year of production. The Classic convinces users with its simple, but robust technology and a very good price-performance ratio.
For detailed close-up shots the macro-plate is the perfect tool to exactly position or traverse the camera during the shot. Combined with Fluid or Gear heads the product is particularly suitable for commercial shots.

2004

The Cable Head offers a cost-efficient alternative to conventional remote heads. With its Teflon-coated cable controls smooth camera moves can be carried out even in the face of extreme weather conditions, since this ingeniously simple remote solution works without electrical power.
The Multi Mount has three vacuum suction pads and offers the possibility to mount a camera on difficult surfaces such as e.g. a car or a window pane. The stability of the suction pads and the connecting elements even allows to mount a remote head.
The Colibry tripod serves as camera stabilization system. It absorbs the movements of the cameraman and enables jerk-free shots. This year’s product highlight is the portfolio of Fluid Heads and Tripods introduced during the IBC. Both, the T4 and the T6 cover the area of compact DV cameras. The T10 has been developed for standard ENG cameras. For EFP or 16 and 35 mm the T45 is available. Finally the 3-axes head L40 with its modular design rounds off the portfolio. The figures in the product name refer to the corresponding weight class. The “star” of this product family of light-weight, fluid-damped swivel/tilt-heads is the Panther Fluid Head X15 combining the best of two design philosophies:
Weight balancing: continuous without limitation of the tilt angle
“Step&Spin” damping system: continuous and step by step

2005

The new developed Foxy Advanced crane has a total boom length of 14 meter/46 ft. – so again, a length ahead of its competitors.

The X15 Fluid Head is awarded with “DIL Award” as best camera support of the year.

2006

The advantages of the Pick Up Dolly (2-wheel/4-Wheel steering) and the Mini Base (universal Dolly) are combined in the new Buddy Dolly. It takes the place of both products.

The Evo Plus is the consequent development of the Evolution Dolly. It offers a robust crab and steer mechanism and a reliable electronics.

Worldwide customers of the popular Foxy Crane are asking for more payload and even more hight.  Panther´s answer is the Foxy Advanced Crane System.

During Cinec 2006 the Foxy Advanced crane is awarded with the Cinec Award.

2008

The Trixy Remote Head goes now into series production after it has been presented as a prototype in 2007. The first time, a Remote Head in the mid price range offers 3 axis with slip rings. Separate lens motors makes this BC Head also suitable for film.

The Twister Dolly convinces at a glance the professionals. It offers innovative ergonomics with its unique stage platform and combined wheels with 3 steering modes (front / rear / round-a-round).
During Cinec 2008 the Twister Dolly is nominated for the Cinec Award.

2009

The patented High Low Turnstile is a game-changing innovation which gives more flexibility to the dolly and saves time on set.

2010

The highest model of Panther dolly fleet is the Tristar Dolly. Camera hight is lower compared to a scissor dolly due to its unique 3-stage column. An integrated HighLowTurnstile and a new platform system makes this top model attractive.

The battery operated VacuRigg makes driving shots safe due to an automatic pump system. Innovative tube clamps are suitable for different tube diameters and boosts flexibility.

2011

Three Products in one- the JibGlider. A Slider converts on tripods to a Glider and with the Jib kit to a Jibarm.

2012

Detailed improvements for the PixyPlus camera crane like precision bearings making pan movements easier.

ClassicPlus Dolly is filling up the gap between Classic and Tristar dolly. This successor gathered knowhow for 30 years.

6 product categories are combined in the FlexGripKit system. Most innovative are ball wheels which enables the “freestyle” steering in table dolly mode.

P1 Dolly follows the trend of inexpensive and lightweight cameras and sets a new standard for dollies. Its Column is compact in size (20x20cm/8×8´´) and extremely low in weight (29kg/65lbs).

Company History

The Sixties

In the sixties Erich Fitz realizes his childhood dream: already at the age of 8 he wanted to make moving pictures able to trigger strong emotions. After a period at Arri’s camera assembly gathering knowledge about cameras he started to work as camera assistant and later as cameraman.

Learning about the requirements of the various production companies gives birth to the idea of founding the company Filmgeräteverleih Waltraut Fitz GbR.

1972

Later, in 1972, a partner joined the company.
Many years of hard work without free weekends and vacation finally pay off. Erich Fitz quits his job as cameraman, which he has carried out in parallel, as the professional rental company begins to prosper despite the overwhelming competition.
After a short period of time already 4 persons are working in this company. The team tries to differ from competing companies by responding to special customer requirements. For a special shooting on a ship the first dolly is built. It is further developed resulting in the light-weight dolly, which has been successful on the market until today.

The success achieved is the motivation for further developments. Initial experience can be gathered by modifying and changing Elemack camera dollies according to practice requirements.

1982

Based upon market requirements globally the first computer-controlled, electro-mechanical camera dolly has been designed. The first prototype is finished in 1982.

1983

An employee compares the smooth, silent, but at the same time powerful movements of the dolly with a Panther – the new name of the dolly is born.
The 2nd prototype is already used at the set and the complete movie “Never-ending story” is shot with this dolly in the Bavaria Studios in Munich.
Quickly the advantages of the Panther in comparison to competing dollies become a topic in the movie branch worldwide.

1986

In 1986 a separate sales company is registered, which is also named “Panther”.

1987

The “Panther Corporation of America” is founded in 1987 – a sales and rental subsidiary in Hollywood run by Florian Granderath.

1988

Erich Fitz wants to be more independent and increasingly relies on resources of his own. He cancels the contracts with third party vendors and founds the HTG High Tech Gerätebau GmbH in 1988. From now on HTG serves as exclusive system supplier for Panther.

1990

In 1990 both companies, Panther and HTG move to Oberhaching, Grünwalder Weg 28c – at that time plenty of room was available for both companies.

At the same time Panther takes over the leadership in the European market with regard to turnover, quantities and technology.

In 1990, as well, the “Super Panther” is awarded the technical Oscar (A.M.P.A.S.) in Hollywood. New, innovative products such as the Pegasus crane are successfully introduced to the market.

In the meantime Erich Fitz separated from his former business partners and can pursue his own visions of progress and expansion.

1991

In 1991 Panther’s Rental department is restructured and after another few years subsidiaries in Prague and Hamburg can be opened up. Thanks to highly motivated and engaged employees the rental departments are among the most successful in Germany and the Czech Republic today.

1997

In 1997 Erich Fitz takes over the competing companies Cinerent in Zurich with the products Cine-Jib and Swiss-jib and Filmtechnik Rose, another rental company, in Hamburg.

1998

In 1998 Panther Sales and Rental and HTG Gerätebau have already 70 employees. Due to the high quality standard HTG has managed to become an A-supplier of complex High-Tech machines for renowned companies, e.g. in the field of manufacturing bills, credit cards, compact disks etc.

International prices such as the “Golden Frog” or the “Cinec Award” are awarded to Panther for special performances and developments in cinematography.

The premises soon become too small, new floor space has to be rented. Therefore in 1999 decision is made to construct a new building, which offers enough space to unite all departments under one roof.

2001

This year Panther GmbH and HTG GmbH move into the new building, which has been designed and built as wished by Erich Fitz and his employees. In the meantime the company has 120 employees.

2002

Panther Broadcast is founded to better support the video industry. The division starts out with a whole range of new gear. All new products originate under the supervision of Andy Fitz the son of founder Erich Fitz, while the recently returned Florian Granderath takes care of marketing.

Panther Rental open their first sound stage next door to the rental outlet.

For the second time the “Cinec Award” goes to Panther for their Galaxy crane system.

2004

Panther Broadcast launches a line of fluid heads and tripods excelled by the unique X 15 fluid head providing continuous balance and drag.

2005

Panther buys all rental equipment from Cinecam and Cinelight and is integrated in the Panther Rental Department.

2006

Panther receives its third Cinec Award for the Foxy Advanced Crane System. It becomes a hot sellng item due to good price-performance ratio.

2008

Panther celebrates during Cinec its 25th anniversary and the thousands Dolly with electromechanical column. Finally Design of Trixy RemoteHead and Twister Dolly is presented.
The staff of Panther Group of companies with its daughter HighTechGerätebau GmbH and the offices in Prague and Hamburg counts nearly 200.

2009

Many used Panther Dollies gets modified by „the best invention for years“, the High-Low-Turnstile.

2010

Despite of the world economic crisis, Panther developed a completely new Dolly, the Tristar.

2011

The Entrepreneur family Fitz makes an extensive strategic decision and stops the Rental business. They don´t want to compete in rental business with there customers any longer. Panther sells its Rental department Prague to Arri.

2012

Panther sells its Rental departments in Munich, Hamburg and Berlin to Bavaria Studio Group. The strategic decision of 2011 is finalized.
Andy Fitz buys from his family the company´s shares and is now single shareholder of Panther GmbH.
Successful operation of PixyPlus Crane during Olympic games in London.

Lightweight Jib

UNIVERSAL

The Panther Lightweight Jib is a very universal jib arm that can be mounted on all Panther Dollies.
In connection with the Super Panther, Panther Evolution or Classic and Classic Plus it is possible to stand on a running board platform and move with the column.
In this case the camera operator has to compensate the lift differences which the Lightweight Jib causes (more than the column) by bending his knees.
For this, you will need as accessories the Lightweight Jib A-Round Kit (alternatively: cable) and, if required, the a Holding Bracket with seat-extension and running board platform.

FLEXIBILITY

Instead of an Euromount we designed a new Tube Adapter which gives you even more flexibility. So you can use all Panther accessories of the Vario Rig System and your creativity knows no limits.
You can use double Euroadapters, tube, offset bracket, double bracket or other accessories – with the new Tube Adapter all your requirements are covered on set!

Existing Lightweight Jibs can be upgraded.

Classic Plus

CLASSIC PLUS CAMERA DOLLY

The reason why we are better than others is simple. We do it because of passion.

FROM THE INVENTOR OF
THE ELECTRO-MECHANICAL
DOLLY

The new Classic Plus camera dolly is the successor of the worldwide loved Classic Dolly. The operators love the Classic and with the new Classic Plus a new standard was set. The dolly is based on a rugged, almost maintenance free and sturdy design. The central column configuration of the Classic PLUS Dolly provides its user with easy operation and unconstrained versatility already in his basic configuration.

All control elements are coloured to be easily recongized and easy to handle. The bolts can be fixed in „open“ position and can be adapted to the tracks perfectly – especially in curves.

The ergonomic design facilitates intuitive working. Switch-over is completely done without tools. So the Classic Plus can be operated in narrow gauge (36 cm) or in wide gauge (62 cm) by using the locking pin.

DESIGNED FOR GRIPS

Every person is different. Everyone has different needs and expectations.
To offer something for all Grips, each dolly can be configured individually – starting with the handsets.

Function has top priority on every development. A modern design completes the product and makes it perfect.
Therefore, our handsets are loaded with many useful features, and due to the ergonomic design it feels great in your hand.

STAY CONNECTED

Panthers precision and the wireless know-how from Cmotion lead to the development of the new wireless handset. It is an option/addition for the new Panther Classic Plus Dolly. An easy operation of the wireless handset is given by the integrated software. A clear user interface makes it easy to understand the wireless handset. The menu is simple to use and structured clearly.

The rocker for manual operation of the dolly is in the middle of the wireless handset. It allows smooth and controlled movements.
Easy replaceable batteries complete the design perfectly.

DIFFERENT STEERING OPTIONS

Designed by our engineers. Perfected by Grips.

STEERING ROD

Included is the steering rod. To provide maximum flexibility, it can be inserted in all 4 wheel arms. Further small steering rods (129832) can be ordered additionally.

STEER OUT EXTENTION

To maneuver the dolly with more distance the steer out extention is the perfect solution, because it increases legroom. In addition to that the steer out extention prevents a rotating by central pushing.

Another big advantage in comparison to other manufacturers is, that the steer out extention is removable. It can also be mounted on all 4 sides of the dolly. So you are able to remove it, when it is not used.

The dolly can be furthermore operated easily, because the handset has its’ place in the steering rod.

FOLDABLE PUSHBAR

The foldable and laterally telescopic pushbar (301342) is perfect for a dolly operation on tracks. Central pushing and pushing from side without rotating the dolly (operation on ground) is possible. Particularly in track operation it is a big advantage because the Grip can push the dolly beside the track without “strumbling” over the tracks.

The foldable push bar can also be mounted on all 4 sides of the dolly. It is mounted tool free via a bracket (113272).

THE ONE AND ONLY REAL CRAB + STEER MECHANISM

Invented, patented and loved worldwide.

Additionally to “Crab” (4-wheel steering) we invented another steering mode: “Steer” (2-wheel steering – optional available). The biggest point of difference of our patented Crab + Steer mechanism are perfect, mathematically calculated elliptical steering sprockets. Other dolly manufacturers just can bring the wheels in a parallel position. With our elliptical steering sprockets the wheels are in a steering geometry.

This steering geometry ensures perfect and smooth circular curves without drift, noise, high rolling resistance or even blocking wheels. Other dollys are not able to move the dollys in tight curves, because the wheels’ position is parallel and so it blocks!

Changing Steering mode is easily done by shifting the blue “Crab + Steer” lever.

THE PATENTED HIGH-LOW TURNSTILE

We are not just producing. We invent.

By far the best turnstile: the patented High-Low turnstile. It owns a huge range of functions and is loved by all our customers.

The turnstile can be rotated by 360 degrees and interlocked playfree through a gear tooth system. The height of the seat can be regulated easily, by pressing a button, to ensure maximum comfort for the cameraman.
Disturbing rotation sound is removed due to a brass bushing (sound recording on set).

The mounted bowl or mitchell can be rotated by 360 degrees in 16 different tilt positions (every 22,5°).
A second seat, for example for the camera assistant, is implemented with a few simple steps.

With the High-Low turnstile you can change fast between the highest position (ca. 1,70 m / 5,6” – with tube extention over 2 m / 6,6”) and the ground level positionwithout removing the camera or the fluid head.

A transport of many accessories is not necessary. The optional accessories, the tube extention with its tube connector, as well as the 80 mm diameter clamp ring, can be stored in a parking position on the dolly.

THe mounted 80 mm diameter tube can be rotated by 360 degrees. Change between High Shot and Low Shot is done very fast – without removing the camera!

UNIQUE PLATFORMS

Many options, creatively combined. Maximum comfort for the cameraman.

The lightweight, but though very stable platform system from Panther has been proven many years on set. The Grips and cameramen are loving the versatility of the platforms, because on every side of the dolly you can mount different platforms.

Also combinations are possible. On request every platform can be personalized with various threads and bores.

Compact platform
105747
Dim. L x W: 70 x 18 cm / 2,4” x 7”
Round platform
105743
Dim. L x W: 70 x 30 cm / 2,4” x 1′
Ground platform
113265
Dim. L x W: 62 x 50 cm / 2′ x 1,8”

Due to a unique and easy locking system the platforms are mounted very fast.

A big advantage over conventional dollies: also in platform operation the carrying handles of the dolly are free and are not necessary for mounting platforms.

GROUND PLATFORM

The ground platform expands the base of the dolly enormous. It’s perfect for use with jib arms because the cameraman can comfortable use the Dolly and simultaneously operate the jib arm. A height adjustment of the ground platform is implemented quickly. That provides maximum flexibility.

Despite its’ lighweight own weight the ground platform has a payload of up to 120kg!

versatile combination possible
height adjustable
versatile use
bracket, tubes and support are sold separately

RING PLATFORM

For even more comfort, a height adjustable ring platform (300434) is available. It was designed to provide the maximum column drive without restrictions. Ideal for the cameraman to make it easier to turn around the dolly with the High-Low turnstile.

POWERFUL. AND SIMPLE.

Durable · Robust · Stable · Simple: The Panther Dolly battery with “Snap-On” mechanism

Our long-lasting dolly battery (107758) has proven itself many times on set by stability, robust housing and the popular “snap-on mechanism”. An integrated button with indicator allows you to control always the batterys’ charging status.

SNAP-ON

The snap-on mechanism has been designed to fix the batteries without any tools. The battery is “clipped” to the dolly with a quick handle and does not have to be additionally tightened.

H-WHEELS

Precise manufactured for optimal smoothness.

With our dolly H-Wheels it is so easy to move the dolly on tracks without lifting.
Special rubbers used for studio and track wheels ensure smooth driving and low running resistance. All single wheels and even the complete combi wheel can be changed quickly and easily due to dove tail connections.

You can choose between different pneupatic and studio wheels:

H-Pneumatic wheel with brake disc
Payload: 200 kg / 450 lbs
(138802)

(143200)

A separately sold wheel stand (175520) with an integrated wheel changing tool (100453) facilitates your work on set and the transport enormously. So you can quickly switch between pneumatic and studio wheels, and the wheels which are not used at the moment are safely stowed on the wheel stand.

TRANSPORT

By far the lightest of its kind.

Due to lightweight building the complete dolly can be carried without problem with the opational carrying bars (300430). Transport weight of the dolly (body and column) is approx. 90 kg. 45 kg per person.

For larger distances a transport cart is available.
