  • Panther Prize 2014

The young people in the film industry have an important role for us and we are committed to support and promote them. Therefore, we now awarded 17 times the Panther Prize for the best production in context of the International Festival of Film Schools at the HFF in Munich.

Film title: “The Dandelion” (original: “Le Pissenlit”)
    Director: Sophie-Clémentine Dubois
Congratulations to Sophie-Clémentine Dubois, to for the Panther Prize. The prize includes equipment in worth of € 5.000,- for the next production.
Sophie-Clémentine Dubois could not get the prize personally, therefore, Mr. Loïc Le Foll (sound designer) took the price in representation.

The film by Sophie-Clémentine Dubois is the story of a restaurant owner who is about to go broke.
His employees, however, refuse to give up and try the craziest things to come up with the money needed to avert the bankruptcy. When the branch manager of their bank shows up in the restaurant, events take an unexpected and deliciously humorous turn.
‘The Dandelion’ amused us with its black humor and original narrative style. The excellent lighting was particularly impressive and both the first-rate camera work and the outstanding direction were decisive in our selecting it for this year’s Panther Prize.
